Distortions and lies in McCain ad
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/editorialsopinion/2008177999_aded14.html

"With seven weeks to go until the November election, voters expect some hype, distortion and lies in campaign ads. One TV ad is particularly offensive because it is so purposefully misleading.

Sen. John McCain's campaign is airing a spot that pretends his opponent, Sen. Barack Obama, supports comprehensive sex education for kindergartners. "Learning about sex before learning to read?" the narrator asks.

The ad begins with an Education Week quote saying Obama "hasn't made a significant mark on education" and goes all the way to this distorted twist: "Obama's one accomplishment? Legislation to teach comprehensive sex education to kindergartners."

This ad is an insult to public intelligence and dignified political debate."

Thank you Seattle Times for stating this...
