Teresa (Heinz Kerry): We won in '04
"This convention, Ms. Heinz Kerry said, is “full of meaning and full of opportunity, and if you, as I, believe, and I know a lot of you do, we did not lose the last election, nor did Al Gore lose his last election. We won it.”

6. I saw her speak at Emily's List in 04 and she was and is incredibly
grounded and so sensible. The daughter of a doctor, who grew up in Africa and protested against Apartheid way before it was popular to do so (when she was in college,) Theresa has no airs of any kind despite her economic wealth and dedicates her time to making the world better.

8. TELL IT, TERESA!!! Too bad John Kerry didn't have her brass.

edited to say:

My mother-in-law, who voted for Bush in 2000 because she thought he would be a better President, and again in 2004 despite the fact of not liking his policies, but "thinking he was a nicer person than Kerry", has been watching the Democratic Convention all week and is very impressed with Obama.

Last night after Al Gore spoke, she said to me, "Now why didn't Al Gore speak LIKE THAT when he was running for President? I would have voted for him."

She also made the same comment about Kerry after his speech.

I have heard this from more than a few people.

What's with that?? Somebody help me here.
