U.S. Rep. Ed Case says Democrats need to run a moderate (yea, right)
From Maui News

WAILUKU - Democrats need a moderate candidate to best challenge President George W. Bush in this November's election, says U.S. Rep. Ed Case.

Case threw his support behind Sen. Joseph Lieberman early last year and stood by his choice Saturday, but he acknowledged that the Connecticut senator hasn't yet shown much momentum in the race for the Democratic nomination. Case said he supported Lieberman because of his moderate philosophy and strong stand on national security, which he thought would continue to be the "foremost" issue in Americans' minds in the coming months.

Democratic hopeful Dennis Kucinich, who made Maui a campaign stop last year, seems to be aiming his campaign far to the left of that image, Case acknowledged, but he added that he didn't think the Ohio congressman was a serious candidate for president. "He's forcing the candidates and the public to recognize his views, and that's a good thing," Case said.

Too bad Patsy Mink died. She was an awesome representative.

On foreign policy, he follows the AIPAC line, but he also states that we shouldn't have gone into Liberia nor have invaded Iraq without a UN resolution.

I think he was wrong to endrose Lieberman. Who is he going to go to now?
