Brad Davis' weak defense of Gov. Rowland proved that the two of them are made for each other. They both appear to be equally delusional, believing that even though Rowland has admitted to lying and accepting gifts on multiple occasions in blatant violation of state ethics codes, it's OK because, well, doggone it, he's a really swell guy.
He may be a really nice guy. You know what else he is? He's a liar. He admitted as much. Being a nice person doesn't excuse you from lying. It doesn't excuse you from accepting unethical gifts, from a decade of questionable conduct or for using one's office for personal gain.
