Maryland Republican Governor polling well with Dems
Here in the land of pleasant living, OUR Republicans are a little more palatable, mostly because they are in a VERY Democratic state. We've had such decent Republicans as Mathias, Morella and Gude. When will these OK folks wake up and move THEIR party a little towards governing as opposed to ruling.

5. The GOP is making inroads in Maryland....
...because the Democrats in Maryland are so ineffective. Sarbanes and Mikulski have among the safest seats in the Senate, so one would think they would be at the forefront of our fight against the GOP? Hardly. We need to cultivate a whole new genration of Democratic politicians who have some spine, who have principles they believe in and fight for.

6. Both of our MD senators voted against the IWR
They are not the problem. Sarbanes was instrumental in pushing the campaign reform bill. Mikulski is tough as a bulldog. I am proud of them. We need to get rid of the republican governor, not our great senators.

7. They are both capable of more!
No doubt Sarbanes and Mikulski are hard-working and vote their concienses, but if Mikulski is such a bulldog, why isn't she up there with Senator Byrd telling America what is going on in the Senate? I either want them to become better fighters, or turn it over to those who ARE willing to fight. This is no longer your father's politics. It's war, pure and simple, and the Democrats haven't figured it out yet and the county is going to go down the tubes unless those who have safe seats in the Senate start barking.
