LATEST POLL SUPPORTS CUT-OFF OF FUNDS … FOR THE WHITE HOUSE

The latest New York Times/CBS Poll indicates that an overwhelming majority of Americans favor an immediate cut-off of funds for all White House operations, including the salaries of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

However, experts believe that getting rid of Vice President Cheney is a bit more problematic, given the fact that he’s living off his fat Halliburton severance package and stock options, and doesn’t need his official salary. In addition, it would be difficult to pry Cheney out of his secret bunker, stocked with assault weapons and at least two years’ worth of canned goods.

Despite this groundswell of support for a total funds cut-off, Congressional Democrats are proposing a non-binding resolution that merely denounces a surge of additional West Wing staffers, and suggests that the White House pastry chef cut back on trans fats.
