Gene Lyons on why boys will by boys

Never mind, too, Bush’s haughty demand that Webb answer him like a servant or a royal subject, which Will evidently thought reflected badly on the president because he discreetly omitted it from his account. Others have noted that the very proper Mr. Will previously failed to object when Deadeye Dick Cheney told Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., to go bleep himself on the Senate floor.

1. exactly like a royal subject.
Hey, this is an ownership society, didn't you get the memo. All our asses are not belong to us. :P

What would have come out of my mouth after that question in that tone from that person would have set the record straight. "That's not what I asked" would likely have been answered with "and I didn't ask for you to use my son to patronize parents of servicemembers either. You are out of line Mr. President and I would advise you step back into it."

Meaning of course, the greeting line for his ass kissers that he had cut out of.
