U.S. gives no apology over Maher Arar: report
Canadian Press
Published: Saturday, October 28, 2006 Article tools

TORONTO -- The U.S. government is not apologizing for its treatment of Maher Arar, CTV News reported Friday.

The network quoted a letter from American Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay, which makes no mention of an apology.

2. Wait till all the horror stories come out
This government's acts are so evil that Americans are going to have to keep a low profile when they travel for many years. Unless you rise up and jail the criminals responsible. But I wonder if things are going to get so much worse for you folk at home. They are such a ruthless bunch. They seem to be cooking something up. If the present bunch start to round you up and treat American citizens (dissidents)as badly as they have treated so many others the world will be with you 100%. I for one am willing to take in fleeing Americans.
