NPR: Schorr trashes prewar intelligence
Daniel Schorr on NPR today has a damning piece on the misuse of prewar intelligence for the predetermined end of invading Iraq.

Schorr quotes a 1992 memo from Wolfowitz that says it's about oil!

Of course, that was "old" Iraq...

"NPR Senior News Analyst Daniel Schorr says mounting questions about whether intelligence was manipulated in the lead up to the Iraq war may undermine the Bush administration's credibility. "

2. I knew the crap would have to start flowing downstream,
and now it is. It's about time. I know some here at DU were not sure this WMD intelligence mess would stick, but I think it is finally going to hit the fan!!

4. Daniel Schorr is a great journalist and a courageous man.
He's one of the very few who were closely involved in covering the Kennedy assassination, for example, to state publicly and unequivocally that the whole thing smelled like a conspiracy.

This is a truly gutsy guy, and it's too bad that his forthrightness has marginalized him in his old age.

We should honor him for his life's work.
