A diversionary crisis of Bush's gay contrivance (The Age)
Michael Gawenda
June 5, 2006

GEORGE Bush is facing escalating crises in Iraq, an out-of-control budget deficit and a slumping approval rating down to about 30 per cent.

So this week the President is focusing the nation's attention on the problem of greatest concern to his social conservative supporters — many of whom are pathologically obsessed with the threat posed to American values by homosexuals ...

And so there has been the radio address to the nation and today at the White House, he will host a group of people for whom gay marriage is a life and death issue and he will no doubt praise their efforts to save the American family ...

1. The ONLY thing I agree with Dick Cheney about- he's against the
constitutional amendment.

2. Except for the extreme right this issue
is a political dead horse. The folks hung up about this issue will never vote Democratic regardless. Rove is losing his touch if he thinks this will bump Chimpy's numbers.

3. Rove is just worried about the next election.
I think he must know by now that Bush is toast. All those boys in D.C. know this amendment has a chance in hell of passing. Rove just wants to make sure that he has the social conservatives on board for the next election. Those people always vote and they have tons of money. Rove and Chimpy are just hoars, and the right wing extremests are the johns. Seriously, they made them a lot of promises but pretty much just f-cked them over on this issue.

4. I'm not worried about homosexuals. You know who I worry about?
Masturbators.

Those guys don't get married, don't procreate, dont' even leave the house.

They've got their hands full.
