19. Do a google or whatever search you want on depleted uranium.
You will come up with many sites. I didn't post this to get them donations. I was browsing and came across it. From what I read there isn't anyway to clean it up anyway. Maybe we should stop using it. Granted it does make useful bunker busters but maybe we can come up with an alternative.

3. If the following were true
Why didn't the gang-raping soldiers just leave the bodies of the women at the place of the gang-rape? Why fly them back to where they kidnapped them from?

In the Bagrami area of Kabul, the US forces assaulted a small enclave of nomads. The US forces flew over this enclave and saw nomad women near their tents. They landed their helicopter and kidnapped these women by gunpoint. Subsequently, the US soldiers flew away with these women to some location, where these women are gang-raped. After these women were raped and died in the process, the soldiers flew them back to the community from where they were kidnapped. However, this time the helicopter did not land, instead, the women were thrown down from the helicopter.

4. Unfortunately this happens during war. I mean look at Abu Ghraib
If it's true they need to be tried for war crimes.

8. Yes, it happens in war
always. Which is why war should never be opted for. It is why aggressors are criminals. When America chose to go to war, it chose to inflict these atrocities.

10. Another interesting link:
http://www.iacenter.org/depleted/du.htm

It's also worth mentioning that DU has caused birth defects in the children of returning soldiers as well.

11. Oh, please

All of those neonates have classical types of birth defects with no similarities between them.

I don't feel like looking them up, but these are the normal range of malformation due to genetic mutations. Two of them could easily be explained as heart malformation problems, which are a third of all such defects. Two of them have cranial vesicle problems leading to forms and effects of hydrocephalus. Also sadly common. In the top picture I don't understand the red patches (maybe due to burst blood vessels, I imagine), but mutations that affect skin cell proteins and cause inability of the dermis to stretch as the body grows cause the general appearance.

From DU you'd expect malformations of the nervous system or things like kidney degeneration, which kill the fetus and end in miscarriage.

You get much more grotesque/picturesque pics of kids from hospitals in areas where a lot of pregnant women have drinking problems. Anencephaly (no head, or only remnants of one), cyclops infants, all ranges of hydrocephalus and heart/vascularlization and eye and ear defects, gross limb defects.

Birth defects of genetic origin increase a lot during and just after wartimes because young people marry people closer to them as kin- inside the village or clans or extended family. And here you're seeing displaced people going to hospitals to give birth, which rural Afghanis could not do prior to the war. There is no baseline this doctor can use.

Have a look a birth defect and other genetic disease frequency worldwide. The peak worldwide is in....Saudi Arabia. People there marry in-group in their ancient tribes and clans, and that makes for a lot of genetic phenomena of inbreeding.

There is no actual good evidence that depleted uranium causes birth defects or cancers. There are U.S. soldiers deployed in Vietnam with DU fragments in them. The metal perhaps causes some heavy bivalent metal effects that are neurological, as lead does. Vaporized uranium particulates could be as bad on lungs as asbestos, perhaps.

13. These tactics are bunk and should be avoided
There is so much about this article and photos that are wrong that it makes the whole mess impossible to believe. Unless you're willing to cherry pick the hyperbole that you like while ignoring the misleading and erroneous material, one should avoid reading these types of posts.

Those poor children that are pictured don't deserve to be used to this person's benefit, no matter what the cause.

14. Not spin
This is happening.
Dont matter all will witness it
Can not hide stuff like this forever

Sad thing is that DU cannot be easily clean up
They like very very tiny particles cause by vapourisation on DU munition on impact
It is in the dust, the water, the food they eat
And lifespan is 4.5 billion years
DU not dangerous unless it get into body.
Well look at amout of DU use
Then imaging the amount of this tiny particles all over the place
Particles so small that even gas mask useless.

Military paper state DU not dangerous if it does not get into a person body.
Me think paper around somewhere still by military.

No man-made isotopes in it. If it's merely what people have told him, then he's been lied to, and is unable to discern the lie. PhD?

On edit: I find it fitting that his tirade extends from unproven use of DU to historical injustices, with the stated goal of it all to get himself funded.
