Need Help for Iraqi War Protest
Hey everybody, its me asking for some much needed help again. As you may remember we are holding a protest/war memorial on the MSU campus this week. I'm writing to ask for help regarding the fact that I need some important yet concise facts about the Iraq war to put on a flyer, which I can then post around campus for everyone to read. If you guys know of any sites where I could get such information I would greatly appreciate it.

2. Good luck to you Blake -
I really think the answer is the "Bush Speak"

If we continued a war effort and we run out of "volunteers" what do you think happens next??

Draft boards are FULLY funded right now.

If Bush measures our efforts in "future presidencies" and the volunteer base shrinks, well, what is the reasonable conclusion?

Anyway, best to you guy,

Joe

3. You can ceratinly use mine, I use it as a flyer (it's wordy) but I also
had it blown up at Kinko's and taped it to cardboard for the peace rally I attended last Sunday.

7. From a messaging standpoint you are trying to influence the dwindling
supporters of the war. A lot of the messages of people who have opposed the war from the beginning do not resonate with these people. War profiteering (Halliburton) give peace a chance (idealism) or conspiracy (it's all over oil) will not persuade the unpersuaded.

I think the 2 strongest messages you can target for this group regards safety, that the war has made us less safe (see my flyer in the post above with quotes from Wes Clark, Porter Goss, Army War College and General Odom contrasted with idiotic quotes from our president.

The second issue that resonates with these people because they are cheapskates is money. I will have the Million, Billions Trillions flyer finished this evening. Not nearly as wordy as the IRAQ WAR: What is it good for? flyer so it will be a good one to blow up for signs or just to glue or staple to utility poles, bus stop shelter, pay phones, bulletin boards etc.

8. Here's a few that come to mind...
...The invasion of Iraq was illegal. The continued occupation of Iraq is illegal. The torture and indefinite detention, without charges or any kind of due process, of ANYONE is illegal. The wanton slaughter of the people of Fallujah was illegal. The use of the white phospherous as a chemical weapon (also done at Fallujah) was illegal. President Bush is a war criminal.

Hope that helps.
