A choice between torture, trial
A choice between torture, trial

By CYNTHIA HALL CLEMENTS The Lufkin Daily News

Sunday, February 19, 2006

Neil Lisst, the main character of a sardonic online political comic, is playing "Human Rights Jeopardy." The host Alex says, “Neil, the answer is, ‘These men are the biggest human rights abusers in North and South America.'”

Neil asks the question, "Who are George Bush, Hugo Chavez, and Fidel Castro?"

"Correct," Alex says.

Torture or trial. It shouldn't be a tough choice, but for the administration of George W. and his human rights abusers cronies, it is.

1. Hugo Chavez?
How do you justify labelling him a human rights abuser?

Just because he says nasty things about Bush doesn't make him Simon Bolivar.

He's not big on free exchange of ideas.
