Waiting to hear the endgame of Team Bush (Murtha)
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/columnists/chi-0511210235nov21,1,125257.column?coll=chi-news-col

WASHINGTON -- You know the Bush administration is desperate when it starts playing the Michael Moore card.

... Murtha is the un-Michael. He voted for the war. He has advised presidents of both parties. He is a longtime friend of military commanders, enlisted personnel and their families. He's a Marine veteran with two Purple Hearts, the Bronze Star with Combat "V" and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. Calling him a "Michael Moore" is like calling Rambo a girlie man.

Judging by the polls, it is not the Michael Moores out there, but Bush's own base that has been losing faith in his administration's war policy. A USA Today/CNN/Gallup poll released Wednesday, for example, reported 54 percent of Americans want U.S. troops pulled out of Iraq over the next year.

... Wouldn't it be nice, for a change, if Team Bush showed a concerned public enough respect to skip the smear bombs and hold a serious debate?

1. It Will Never Happen
You can't debate propaganda, and that's all these bozos have to work with. Facts are poison to them, like sunlight on vampires. It would be a slaughter, not a debate.

2. I must say that watching them swing in the wind
is a lot of fun. The men in Washington have proven to me that they do not have a learning curve. None, period.

You could show them the error of their ways by clearly pointing out what they did wrong, and they will put their hand on the hot burner again and again. They are simply incorrigible, untrainable. Like the old dog I used to have. It always peed in the kids' bed. The dog thought it was hiding the pee by digging an indentation in the down comforter, and letting loose.

I was furious. I tried and tried to get that pug to go outside. I lost that battle. The down comforter was worn out after hundreds of washings.

That's what Bush and Cheney remind me of. Old puggie who peed in the bed.
