Report: Israel Was Warned Ahead of First Blast
13:30 Jul 07, '05 / 30 Sivan 5765

(IsraelNN.com) Army Radio quoting unconfirmed reliable sources reported a short time ago that Scotland Yard had intelligence warnings of the attacks a short time before they occurred.

The Israeli Embassy in London was notified in advance, resulting in Finance Minister Binyamin Netanyahu remaining in his hotel room rather than make his way to the hotel adjacent to the site of the first explosion, a Liverpool Street train station, where he was to address and economic summit.

2. So, you think it's good to post a story that's already been denied?
What's the point? There were loads of incorrect stories about the London bombings. Why have you posted this one - which has been argued about loads of times on DU already?

3. A.P., Ma'am Is Currently Reporting Otherwise
Israel National news is an unreliable rightist tabloid, that published a hurried report.

A.P. is reporting denials of the story, and that Netanyahu was told to stay put once the explosions began: he was due to speak at a hall very near one stattion that was bombed.

4. This is an interesting ......
Edited on Thu Jul-07-05 02:36 PM by doublethink
according to this article ...

Contrary to original claims that Israel was warned minutes before the first attack, unconfirmed rumors in intelligence circles indicate that the Israeli government actually warned London of the attacks a couple of days previous. -snip-

rest of story here ... http://fairuse.1accesshost.com/news2/stratfor-london.ht... Peace.
