A less innocent US moves on
The title of this piece is a symptom of mass delusion. The US has never been "innocent". Since the country was founded by drenching the land with the blood of hundreds of thousands, initially friendly, Native Americans we have been "guilty".

Aanyone that thinks Aamerica is innocent is a victim of the worst of our propagandistic education system.

A less innocent US moves on

On the anniversary of 9/11, many are trying to live uninterrupted lives amid doubts over US safety.

By Peter Grier | Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor

WASHINGTON – Two years ago a bolt of terrorism lifted the United States off its underpinnings and dropped it facing a new direction.
It's true that today most Americans don't feel personally endangered in the aftermath of Sept. 11. A relative few have stockpiled duct tape and plastic sheeting. Remembrances of the worst attacks ever on the continental US are fewer and more muted than last year. Time has rewritten shock and grief into elegy.

1. posted this quote earlier.....
"The enormous gap between what U.S. leaders do in the world and what Americans think their leaders are doing is one of the great propaganda accomplishments of the dominant political mythology." -- Michael Parenti

2. At THIS point, Imperial Amerika has never been LESS innocent
Think about what it is the Imperial Subjects of Amerika do know:

1) We started a preemptive war on a large scale for the first time

2) Saddam had no WMDs, and if he had them they suree as shit weren't ready to go in 45 minutes.

3) That the Bush Imperium has lied and lied and lied...and even been caught a couple times, about things which lead to the death of thousands.

4) That Bush Knew something was coming during his Lazy August of 2001.

And on and on and on.

At least during the 12-year Emperorship of Bush the Smarter, these guys tried to hide their frauds and thefts and treasons. Their murders and coke deals and subversion of democracy around the world...

Now they know they don't even have to bother. They can perform treason in the open, knowing that they will NEVER be held responsible or accountable.

Even through the propagnda, the Imperial Subjects of Amerika know a lot more about how the corrupt Busheviks operate.

They just don't careas long as they have their SUVs and "Survivor".

This is, in fact, the most disgraceful generation of Americans to ever live (I include myself here).

I'm sad to have to agree with you here. Not because this administration is any more of less evil than any other, but because of your astute obdervation that the facts are made plan but without an Arkansas project funded by a delusional billionaire there will be no accountability.

The media is the unofficial media branch of the pentagon and is an affront to their reason for existence.
