Column Titles are Stupid

The media gave the Bush administration a free pass during the build up to the war in Iraq. <snip>

Gone are the days of Woodward and Bernstein, who put their reputations on the line to expose the Watergate scandal during the Nixon years. Today's media is too scared to do that sort of thing. Instead, it fills its pages and its airtime with Jen and Brad.

The culture of fear in this society has so completely permeated the media that the First Amendment is on the verge of becoming obsolete. <snip>
