Explosives from Iraq found in Nagpur
A bomb shell filled partly with explosives was recovered from a container being unloaded at the inland container depot (ICD) of the Container Corporation of India here, police said today.

The shell was found yesterday at the depot in Narendra Nagar in southern part of the city, in one of the containers which brought the heavy melting scrap from some foreign destination, the sources said.

Container Corporation of India Chief General Manager Kapil Rawat said that it was difficult to trace the port from where it was exported and we get 1,500 such containers here.

2. One partly filled shell in a container of scrap?
Not much of a story. This is even less of a big deal than the sarin shell attack a few months ago.

4. One partly filled shell found, then container resealed
for further inspection.
I think the point here is that no matter how small or large the exact amount is found to be after more investigation, there is the indication that missing explosives from Iraq have already been making their way to ports and places around the world. This may be only the tip of the iceburg.

5. This is HUGE in India man
Over the last one month, there have been explosives found in scrap metal imported into the country from the middle east. it all started when an unexploded piece of ordnance exploded in a metal scrap factory near delhi, killing 10 workers.
since then, the army has impounded stocks of scrap metal from the middle east, and upto now, over 600 mortar shells, ammunition rounds,
etc etc have been found in scrap yards across the nation.

6. And it would be huge if the same were found in Poughkeepsie or Newark

However, mainstream America sees nothing particularly remarkable about a few explosives included in scrap which the US, in its generosity and kindness, makes available to India or similar faraway as seen on TV lands populated by exotic creatures in colorful costumes who don't even speak English and should be grateful that they are not in Abu Ghraib with their cousins in Iraq because 3000 innocent people died in the World Trade Center, and doesn't America already send missionaries there to tell them about Jesus, too?
