Speech prompts protest
Emily Dietzel, a nursing sophomore at UF, didn’t come to President Bush’s rally to protest. But that’s what she ended up doing.

Marton Cavani, a UF senior, said he went to protest the Democrats’ exclusion from the event. Those seeking tickets to the rally had to show their voter registration cards, and registered Democrats weren’t given tickets.

Aaron Dossey, a UF biochemistry graduate student, said the Bush rally stood in stark contrast to Democratic vice presidential nominee John Edwards’ visit to the UF campus two weeks ago, at which protesters carried signs right behind the senator’s supporters.

“I’d like to hear the man speak,” Dossey said. “My tax dollars pay his wages.”

1. Go Gators!
As a graduate of the University of Florida, I am so proud of Emily Dietzel! She exemplifies the courage Americans are showing while we take back our country. Once again, Go Gators! GOTV!

4. Why are we mad about this ? ...
He is limiting the people he is reaching, by only including the people he has already reached.

This is no way to get swing voters, and the Dems should be happy about this.

Cheers

5. Bush crowds made even worse
than what I predicted. If open, Bush couldn't draw flies, but probably even have protesters outnumbering his few fans. Instead they chose a traveling staged photo op. Out of two losing scenarios Bush chose the most telegenic. Small surprise.

The media has not given the proper due to the enormous and open crowds the Democratic ticket is attracting, mainly touting the rare loud crowds for Bushco. As I predicted, but no matter. It isn't the sort of thing you can game or hide indefinitely. It gets in the air, moves on the ground, makes the local news.

Despite being overwhelmed the despicable national slant continues, I hope to their economic ruin.

6. Personally happy, publicly outraged.
It's counter-spin, and it IS hypocritical. Make them waste valuable time explaining themselves.
