Bush remains worried about pre-election attacks
WASHINGTON (AFP) - US President George W. Bush (news - web sites) said in an interview broadcast he remains worried about the risk of terrorist attacks before the November 2 election despite the lack of concrete evidence of such a plot.

"I am worried about it and we should be worried about it," Bush told ABC television.

"We don't have actionable intelligence that would say there is an attack and if we did, of course, we would be moving heaven and earth to stop it," said Bush as the razor-tight race against Democratic challenger John Kerry (news - web sites) entered its final week.

Asked about the decision to invade Iraq (news - web sites) in March 2003 and the 1,100 US soldiers killed since then in Iraq, Bush said he had calculated the risks of going to war "as best as I possibly could."

2. Is that why he's sleeping in Crawford?
That worry is keeping him sleepless throughout the late afternoon and into the evening. I read that his head didn't hit the pillow until 8:30PM last night. Central Time!

3. We should be worried.
That MF let 380 tons of light-weight exposives get into the hands of terrorists and others in the ME who have every reason to despise us. These explosives will be used against American and European citizens and our children for years to come. Nice job, a-hole. This is fucking colossal.

10. the more worries he creates, the more afraid of change voters will be.
That's the October Surprise.

Except, even that pinhead, Mr. Duct Tape, Tom Ridge, said that there was no plot. Of course, he said there was a plot just a month earlier per his scripted election campaign activities.

14. Be very afraid!
This sounds like the perfect warrant for the WH to issue a RED ALERT right before the election.

22. Well, They Certainly Have Access To The Explosives, Now?
Of course, Li'l Georgie is worried. Most importantly, the incompetence of this crew led to a cache of very powerful, ultra high velocity explosives in the hands of the enemy.

Secondly, if we get attacked again, then there is NO REASON AT ALL to re-elect this cretin, since it would prove WE AREN'T ANY SAFER BECAUSE OF LI'L GEORGIE'S POLICIES!
