Jeff City, MO - Plane crash into a home, entire neighbohood evacuated
This is breaking news, I don't have any specifics or anything.

The only thing being reported is that a plane crashed into a home on the East Side, around the 500 block of Hutton Street, and that the entire neighborhood is being evacuated.

The local CBS affiliate, in the midst of Letterman, keeps sprawling this message in its bottom text scrawl.

Not sure what is up with this, just an eyewitness report on the local feed. Any other information is greatly appreciated.

2. No clue whatsoever....
The only thing I know is that a plane crashed into a home on the East side (I am on the west side, out of the city limits) and that the entire neighborhood is being evacuated.

4. Private vs. Airliner...
I'd guess it is most definitely not an airliner, this city just doesn't have airliner traffic, except overhead en route to either KC or STL. Its mostly small commuter planes and private personal jets (this is the capitol).

I'm guessing that its a smallish type of plane. If an airliner crashed into the East Side, it would be a little more than 'one home'.

But they are evacuating the entire neighborhood, which is the real question. Maybe its overzealous local cops (heh there are plenty of those around), who knows?

6. If it is just after takeoff, it's a fear of fuel explosion.
Even the little ones carry enough fuel to cause some major damage!

7. I hope no one was on the stump tonight flying from A to B in a small plane
Please don't flame me, but, this is the first thing that came to mind when I read this headline.

Remember, anything is possible with the repukes.

10. I sure hope no one would flame you
That is exactly what I thought of when I read your post. It is one day shy of the 4th anniversary of Mel Carnahan's death. I can't find anything on this and I'm in K.C. They should be breaking in locally.

8. Ok, just watching the local feed, its just a regular airplane crash
It crashed into the garage of the home. The 'evacuated' residents were just milling about around the neighborhood.

KCRG Paula Morehouse (mmm, hottie) was on the scene, perhaps 100 yards from the crash site. Apparently the only people on board were the pilot and co-pilot.

Anyhow...
