US condemns attacks on Green Zone in Iraq
Better put a "Tiger Team(tm)" on it Dick, and we need some
timelines and performance metrics too ...

WASHINGTON, Oct. 14 (Xinhuanet) -- The United States on Thursday condemned the attacks on the Green Zone in Baghdad and said an investigation of the attacks was underway.

"We condemn these terrorist attacks. It is another example of where there are terrorists who want to attack us and want to attack anybody who is trying to establish opportunity and freedom for the Iraqi people," State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said at a news briefing.

---

Boucher said US embassy personnel at this point had been instructed to remain inside the embassy complex until further notice.

"An investigation is under way, and security sweeps are occurring in the area," Boucher said.

3. Okay well now that's different
It's okay when we attack an unarmed (WMD) country. Kill thousands of innocent civilians and destroy untold billions of Iraqi property,For a mistake. But now we don't want Iraqi's to shoot back. This war is the ultimate hypocrisy.

4. Wow. Why didn't they think of this before? Condemning enemy attacks....
Wow... this is a strategy that every one in war should use... it's so original. If only we had thought of it earlier.

I hear that the North almost lost the Civil War because Lincoln's position on the Confederate invasion of Pennsylvania was unclear.

Go ahead sister, keep blowing... Jezebel, I'm binding you! She was intended by God to be a virtuous woman! You have no right to her, her husband is the head of the house.

6. Next step - "We condemn these attacks inside our embassy"
Finally Negroponte will be condemning attacks in his bedroom. No wonder Bremer wanted to get out while the getting was good.

8. How's that investigation of the contractor murders in Fallujah going?
I keep on hearing about investigations, but I haven't heard of anything being solved. They act like the police are investigating a murder in Chicago. IT'S A HOLY WAR!

12. This could be the precursor to an attack in the U.S.
They struck in the most protected area in Iraq, a clear slap in the face, stating, you cannot stop Al Qaeda from striking at the heart of the occupation in Iraq. You cannot stop U.S. from attacking your country.

Notice about a month ago, the Egyptian lieutenant of Bin Laden issued a tape stating that Al Qaeda is losing its credibility. Last week, in Egypt, Al Qaeda struck Israeli's in Zawahiri's homeland of Egypt. Today, terrorist insurgents struck Americans in the heart of American presence in Iraq.
It would not necessarily be unexpected for Al Qaeda to strkie the U.S. dusing Ramadan which started tonight at sunset, and continues through the American Election. Martyrdom during Ramadan is among the most rewarded acts in Muslem theology. In each of the latest attacksm no Muslim was targeted. Only Israelis and Americans, while for months, the insurgency was attacking Iraqis who were collaborating with the U.S. THe shift in targets may signal something ominous.

What? Did they think if they didn't offer the condemnation, everybody would think they thought it was A-OK!?
