CAI EXPOSED! Hires PR firm to bombard Governor over Anti- Foreclosure Bill

An investigation reveals that CAI is paying a public relations company to get Governor Schwarzenegger to veto AB 2598 (Steinberg - Ducheny)

On August 27, an overwhelming bipartisan coalition in the California legislature gave final passage to AB 2598 that would prohibit the use of non-judicial foreclosure in homeowner associations for delinquent amounts below $2,500.

CAI lawyers are furious at the prospect of losing millions in foreclosure fees because of this legislation. In one study, it is estimated that they made approximately $90 million in lawyers' fees from 1999 to 2003.

So, CAI is fighting back!

Skip Daum, the CAI/CLAC lobbyist in Sacracmento has hired Perry Communications to prevent the governor signing the bill.

Schwarzenegger has broken so many promises, beginning with his promise to be independent from special interests.
