CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Former employees of a dentist claim the man made female patients unwittingly swallow his semen during visits to his office in Cornelius.

Dr. John Hall is accused by the state dental board of violating dentistry's standard of care, engaging in immoral conduct, and committing sexual assault or battery.

Six former patients -- including a 14-year-old -- say he tricked them into swallowing his semen. A seventh claims he jumped on top of her in the dental chair and "began to gyrate against her lower body in a sexual manner."

The dental board suspended Hall's license Nov. 5, after police began investigating allegations by two former employees. In February, it conditionally restored his license, barring him from being alone with female patients.

Paris - United States food technologists have invented dried rations that a soldier can rehydrate by using dirty water or even his own urine, the British weekly New Scientist reports.

The ration is surrounded by a plastic membrane made of a nanofibre that, according to its inventors, can filter out 99,9 percent of microbes and the most harmful toxic compounds, allowing only clean water to get to the preserved food.

So far, only one prototype - chicken and rice - has been tested, but the menu will be expanded to incorporate other down-home favourites if the concept proves popular.

The inventors are the Combat Feeding Directorate, part of the US Army Soldier Systems Centre in Natick, Massachusetts.

Two years ago, their men and women came up with an "indestructible sandwich" that could stay fresh for three years.

The goal behind the latest gastronomic breakthrough is to reduce the amount of water that soldiers have to carry around with them, both within the food and for cooking it.

One day's food supply of three meals weighs 3,5kg per person, but that can be reduced to a mere 400g with the dehydrated pouches.

New Scientist, which reports on the invention in next Saturday's issue, quotes experts as saying that rehydrating the food with urine should only be a last resort because the membrane is too coarse to filter out the chemical urea.

This guy is local to me. I'm glad I never went to his office or had to deal with this behavior. I'd probably handle it much like any other form of physical sexual assault, respond with deadly force. He supposedly did this to a minor as well. Down here, he's lucky to still be alive. I wouldn't be surprised if someone's boyfriend, husband, brother or father put a cap in his worthless ass.

Don't most salty, viscous fluids taste "like semen?" My dentist used to have this thing she used instead of the rotating rubber-tipped polisher (GAWD I hate the rubber-tipped rotating polisher!) that was essentially a mini sandblaster that used salt and water instead of sand and air. Tasted a little bit like what I'd imagine man-aise must taste like, come to think of it...
