Chavez Frias flies to Argentina to push for Venezuelan entry to Mercosur

President Hugo Chavez Frias is expected to fly to Argentina tonight to attend a meeting of the Southern Cone Economic Zone (Mercosur).

The meeting is being held at Port Iguazu on the Argentinean, Brazilian and Paraguayan border and attending the meeting will be: Lula da Silva (Brazil), Jorge Batle (Uruguay), Nicanor Duarte Frutos (Paraguay) and host, Nestor Kirchner (Argentina).

Special guests include Venezuela's Hugo Chavez Frias, pursuing admittance into Mercosur for his country, Mexican President Vicente Fox and associate country leaders: Ricardo Lagos (Chile), Carlos Meza (Bolivia), while Alberto Toledo (Peru) is as yet unconfirmed and delegations from India, Egypt and Colombia.

Chavez Frias and Vicente Fox are scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting tomorrow at 9.30 a.m. and join Mercosur's second work session afterwards.
There is a possibility that Argentina's Kirchner will meet the Venezuelan President tomorrow, as well before the latter returns to Caracas in the evening to continue his "No to a recall referendum" campaign in Venezuela.

3. I hope the Bush regime understands that if anything happens to Chavez
or any of the new liberal heads of government in Latin America, the ENTIRE WORLD WILL KNOW WHERE TO LOOK.

They have been vicious towards Kirchner already, and tried to butt into his country's affairs, and Americans should be informed more honestly what the Bush regime has actually been doing to threaten and bully people right here in our own hemisphere.

They have bullied small Caribbean islands a LONG time ago, and continue.

We don't need this crap. It's simply not decent.

Good luck to the other people in the world as they try to find their own ways to live WITHOUT our right-wingers breathing down their necks.

(I just heard tonight on C-Span that the House Republicans voted to withhold payment of our UN dues for the year. @$$####$.)
