Timing of rebound could help Bush
President Bush should be feeling pretty good about the economy heading into the final four months of his re-election campaign. After a long jobless recovery, the economy has added nearly 1 million jobs in just three months — the fastest pace of growth in four years. The broadest measure of the economy, gross domestic product, has grown at an above-average clip for four straight quarters.

1. Where is the investigation that the Bush Crime Family colluded and racketeered and fraudulently conspired with the GOP Power Elite to have them hire more people just before the election? They are inflating their estimates to make things look better!

2. Was the conspiracy that aWol gave the GOP Power Elite $billions in tax breaks if they spent a few thousand just before the election?

3. Where are the reports of the losses for the last 3.5 years compared to an unknown slight upturn for a few months. Where would the economy be if it weren't for aWol's leadership?

1. I have noticed that the media keeps telling everyone that the economy
is getter better and "everyone" isn't buying it.

I am sure the good people of Ohio and PA, who have the higest unemployment rates in the nation (I *think* those are the two, corrections appreciated) are really feeling the booming economy!

My husband and I aren't feeling it and we are middle class America.

3. Nothing can help Bush
He's sunk!

1 million low-paying service jobs? The truth about the economy will come out.

Kerry should keep hammering away at this.

5. It is the continuing perception of a weak economy that matters.
Like his father, Bush will not benefit from a few good months.

6. Rebound?
The MSGOP article said:

"... the economy has added nearly 1 million jobs in just three months...."

From what I hear, those are jobs that the labor dept. thinks were created, w/o actual proof.

9. Wish there was a way to verify so many of the numbers.
CPI and PPI are doctored. The Plunge Protection Team has awesome power, and the stakes are simply too high not to use that power to massage the stock market and the public's perception of economic "recovery." Oh for some investigative journalism to penetrate the Wizard of Oz shroud. Maybe Andrea Mitchell will unleash a few revelations about hubby?

10. The headline should read "I say a little prayer for you!"
These people are sick. Their invented rebound is a scam, and this article little more than rank wishful thinking by a set of demented sonsabitches.

12. Rebound defined (part 1 of many)
Over 1 million jobs created for roughly 21 million unemployed, and only a few beheadings in the past few weeks? Is that the Repuke definition of progress?

and he can officially wash his hands of it, Bush is trying to cash in his chips by moving them from the war on terror to economy by lowering gas prices and bragging about what is in reality a net loss of one million jobs.

15. A friend on my will be homeless if he doesn't find a job
He lives in a large city and he cannot find work. If it's true about the job growth then why can't they tell us where we can locate that jobs at?

I have a feeling that we are being lied to by the "Thug" administration.

16. I've been out of work 2 years
I was laid off in Columbus, OH (after 11 years with the same company) and couldn't find a job there so I moved to St. Louis a year ago. Now since I haven't found steady work here I have to move to Asheville, NC to live with my folks and hopefully find a job there. I have to start all over again. All these jobs they say are out there being created is bullshit!
