A Look at U.S. Daily Casualties in Iraq

As of Tuesday, Aug. 12, 262 U.S. soldiers have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq, according to the military.
The British government has reported 43 deaths.

On or since May 1, when President Bush declared that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, 124 U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq, according to the latest military figures.

How about these soldiers dying in their sleep? What is up with that? Four non combat deaths reported in one day? These soldiers are physically fit or they can't be on active duty. At least they are when they leave the states.
