Israeli missiles hit Gaza City

Sunday 16 May 2004 9:40 PM GMT

Israeli helicopters fired six missiles at Palestinian President Yasir Arafat's Fatah Movement office in Gaza City.
The Monday attack struck the Zaitun neighbourhood of Gaza just after midnight local time - the same district in which six Israeli soldiers were killed in an ambush a week ago.

Israeli soldiers opened fire at the men when they were deemed to close to a zone near the border. The military could not confirm whether the three people shot were killed.
