Nader Wins Endorsement From Reform Party

Wednesday May 12, 2004 7:01 PM By SAM HANANEL

WASHINGTON (AP) - Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader has been endorsed by the national Reform Party, giving him ballot access in eight states, including Florida and Michigan, party leaders announced Wednesday. <snip>

Other states in which the Reform Party has already secured ballot access for its nominee include Colorado, Kansas, Mississippi, Montana, South Carolina and Wisconsin. Nader is not yet on the ballot in any state. <snip>

The prospect of the consumer activist appearing on the Florida ballot is sure to anger many Democrats, who blame Nader for taking votes from Democrat Al Gore in 2000, causing him to lose the state - and the presidency - to Republican G 600 votes, while Nader pulled nearly 100,000 votes there.

Nader faced the daunting task of collecting more than 92,000 signatures to gain ballot access as an independent candidate in Florida. <snip>

2. Why.... Nader....why?
Can't we find something really bad about him to give to the press? Like he did drugs, or had an affair?

6. The thing that keeps me from getting upset
is that I believe this election will be a landslide (races with incumbents presidents almost always are) so it won't be close enough for Nader to make a difference either way.
