FBI Papers Describe Role of Young Kerry Against War
Fascinating... 20,000 pages????

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/05/06/politics/campaign/06VETS.html

A confidential F.B.I. memorandum dated April 29, 1971, on a just-concluded antiwar march on Washington by Vietnam Veterans Against the War concluded that the group's nominal leaders had been overshadowed by "a more popular and eloquent figure, John Kerry," who was "glib, cool and displayed best what the moderate elements wanted to reflect."

One version or another of that assessment of the young Mr. Kerry is echoed repeatedly among 20,000 pages of once-secret F.B.I. files, released on Wednesday in response to Freedom of Information Act requests from news organizations. A memorandum from November 1971 notes that Mr. Kerry told students at the University of Oklahoma that members of the veterans' group "are against any type of violence."

In all, the raw files — a mix of unsubstantiated tips from informers, newspaper clips and surveillance by F.B.I. agents — paint a portrait of extensive government scrutiny of Vietnam Veterans Against the War, which Mr. Kerry served as a prominent spokesman for much of 1971. His involvement with the group catapulted him to national attention and drew wide praise, but also sharp criticism that dogs him to this day, for his testimony to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee citing atrocities by American soldiers in Vietnam.

1. citing atrocities by American soldiers in Vietnam
I don't understand why he is now backing away from this. It was true then and it is still true now.

4. This is a psychological battle..
They keep raking up Kerry's time in Vietnam to cause him pain.
It's all about pain and the rehash of painful memories.

They are playing this game to psych him out..

I think he should ignore it or have someone else deal with it.

They know how strong and intelligent he is-

they are trying to depress him in the hopes he will destroys himself.

Don't play into them. You never look the devil in the eye until you're ready to spit in it!

Play your own game and keep them hopping.

2. with some really really careful nuance, he might get America to notice
exactly what position he held then, and relate it to the hell we are living now, this week.

3. Yes, exactly, carefully nuanced:
This for instance:

"Bush, GOP set fund-raising record

Republicans rake in $38.5 million in one night."

Bush feels no remorse or sadness for the pain and suffering he's inflicted on the Iraqis. Attending an all out gala fundraiser.
Which would be viewed by normal people as insulting, excepting the Reptilians. One could speculate he was celebrating the shame and
disdain for Americans, he was able to rain down on this country.

This is very sick, corrupt, behavior being foisted on the American people.

I've been working on a formula. It's not perfected yet..

But soon-

5. exactly what position he held then, and relate it to the hell we are

No, Kerry should project a vision of Hope.
Iraq and Vietnam are not synonymous.
Their only comparison is War.

* has turned Iraq into a cesspool of
sordid perversion, degrading humanity
in the process. Stay away, leave it alone.

6. We need that "eloquent figure"
to be glib and cool right now. We know he can do it again. C'mon, Kerry, step up the plate and show us how it's done.

7. "Nixon feared him like no other protester."
Today, that reads: "The BFEE fears him like no one else." -- Octafish.

Here's the backstory, from when the FBI files were getting started by the BFEE turd (and one great cross-dresser), J Edgar Hoover:

With antiwar role, high visibility

By Michael Kranish, Globe Staff, 6/17/2003

EXCERPT...

The White House feared him like no other protester.

Colson, in a secret memo, revealed he had a mission to target Kerry: "Destroy the young demagogue before he becomes another Ralph Nader."

The effort by Nixon and his aides to undermine Kerry went much deeper than even Kerry realized. Yet it is this chapter in his life, as much as any other, that helped turn Kerry into a national political figure. By targeting Kerry, the Nixon White House boosted his stature in ways that still are having an impact.

But at the same time, many of the issues that Nixon and his aides raised more than 30 years ago about Kerry still remain. Echoes of Colson's words can still be heard in Washington: "He's politically ambitious and just looking for an issue, a phony."

Yet even Nixon described Kerry as an articulate and impressive spokesman. The Nixon White House began an investigation of Kerry. Who was he, the Nixonites wanted to know. What was his real motivation? And how could they stop him?
