Bush: Prosperity depends on election
NILES, Michigan (CNN) -- Kicking off a two-day bus tour through the swing states of Michigan and Ohio, President Bush called on supporters Monday to help voters understand "the importance of this election."

"Peace and freedom depend upon this election. Prosperity for the people depend upon this election," Bush said while wrapping up a campaign stop with about 1,200 supporters in Niles, in the southwest corner of Michigan.

Bush's tour through Michigan and Ohio, accompanied by first lady Laura Bush, takes him to what will likely be two of the most closely contested states in this presidential election.

Bush's campaign is paying for this trip, unlike his other recent visits to battleground states, which were billed as White House events and thus funded by taxpayers.

15. Something fishy about this trip...Is Bush going to ground?
Bad vibes here about the sudden need for a bus trip..

Bush knows the whole world hates him...

Does not compute!

22. Seems simple enough for me
Yeah, maybe he was trying to trick those people with his fancy pants language into thinking that HE is the one that is bringing prosperity?

Nah, you gotta be really dumb to buy that piece of stinky cheese.

I can't disagree with him. If he's reSelected, peace, freedom and prosperity will forever be distant memories in this country.

10. Oh Jesusssss!
...Bush holds the cards of peace and freedom just like Richard Nixon had a secret plan to end the Vietnam War to win his election in 1968. If Nixon had not been forced to resign, in August 1975, there is no telling how many more Americans would have been lost. It is time for change. No more Bushit!

18. OK. How about something other than platitudes, Busboy?
A coherent Iraq plan would help, if you can get the ground generals to talk with the armchair generals to talk with your politico generals to talk with the Pentagon generals...you know, the crew that got us into this smoke and mirror campaign of yours.

I don't know who's in charge, but the buck stops with you.

30. Well, aint that the truth! Four more years of Bush will bring the
world-wide depression he seems to crave. Who was it that said that during a depression, the wealth goes back to its rightful owners (meaning the wealthy). We are definitely headed in that direction.

31. The crowd booed when Junior said '4 more years of Laura'.
I can't stand listening to Idiot but I'm 99% sure I heard and saw this. aWol said '4 more years of Laura' and the crowd started booing. aWol looked shocked. The camera panned over the crowd. The scene looked very confused. Am I the only one to report on this? Did I misinterpret this scene? I honestly only saw it for 1 minute but I'm pretty sure that's what happened. It wasn't a heckler, it was a crowd of many many people which forcefully drowned out the entire brainwashed repuke section.

Amazing. He really nailed it, for once in his life.

Maybe he doesn't want to be elected anyway? It appears that the presidency does cut somewhat into his vacation time.

33. When will the Media Whores say that the Media Whores have been
reporting "The economic recovery will come next quarter. Everything is in place and will take hold next quarter." The American Media Whores, along with aWol have been saying this since 2001 every month. Anyone with the resources can prove this by making a little commercial with all the FOX, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC... Whores saying this. When does a 2 month lie become a 4 year lie become lifetime imprisonment for Treason Against America?

I'm generous--Laura & all the secret service guys can go, too.

He'd discover a lot about America sitting on the bus & hanging out at the Greyhound stations.
