Source: guardian

Sandusky secured his release using $200,000 in real estate holdings and a $50,000 certified check provided by his wife, Dorothy, according to online court records. Sandusky remained at the facility as of late morning and the warden said he was quiet and cooperative during his overnight stay.

7. That should do the job, and keep him from abusing any other children, but
who knows with how his wife seems to be standing firmly behind him.

8. hell
hey he gets bail he can afford but OWS folks in LA get a bail that they normally could afford bumped to an amount they can't so they sat far longer. How a sex offender is treated with kid gloves but the cops torture normal people is a bit sick.

10. The way they've treated the OWS arrestees is inexcusable.
I hope there are some lawsuits pursued about some of these cases.

9. He must be VERY wealthy
If he can put up $250,000 for bail and still pay an attorney. But to echo: why is he allowed bail, particularly in the light of Occupy LA arrests?

12. Most of that money came from his house, but he probably is wealthy. The question isn't
why is he allowed bail -- that's pretty standard, especially since he's under house arrest -- but why the Occupy LA people were treated the way they were.

11. She's frightening, too. An enabler of the worst sort.
Kids screaming for help from her basement while she sat upstairs, and now she says the accusers are all liars. It's like a terrible horror movie.

The whole thing is. I read today that many Big Ten leaders are so incensed, they want to throw Penn State out of the conference.

The story is only bound to get worse, if that's possible.

13. Hey Mrs. Sandusky: PLEASE DIVORCE YOUR PERVERTED HUSBAND!
if Dorothy really had any conscience she would've left Jerry to raise the $250k on his own and then moved out to Philadelphia.
