Reports: Police raid on Occupy LA encampment imminent
Source: MSNBC

LOS ANGELES -- A raid on Occupy LAs City Hall encampment was imminent Tuesday night as several local news sources reported that Los Angeles Police were gathering at Dodger Stadium.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said he decided to evict the protesters after learning that children were staying in the camp.

Occupy LAs Facebook page said city buses would be staged near City Hall between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m., NBC station KNBC reported.

It was not known exactly when police would clear the area out, but about half the tents were gone, the KNBC report said.

2. so the children will be better served by a nighttime raid by nearly a thousand cops in riot gear?
What about the tear gas and the billy clubs, and the helos with searchlights and the chaos and the fear?

Subjecting children to all that? Sounds like the old saying that the village must be burned to save the village.

3. NOW he's "concerned" about children living on the street??
Children in tents in park with first aid tent and portapotties and such? BAD

Children living in cars with unemployed parents and hungry pet rats? Well, it really happened and a baby had to die before they gave a damn.

5. cops are also gathered outside my apartment...
Which is two blocks from the occupation. It's horrible. It's shameful. The streets are loaded with cops.

I tried to post a pic to my twitter account but it didn't upload. And it's made more scary by all the helicopters buzzing overhead
