8. It wasn't too strong
At the locations with the greatest shaking (including the Fukushima Dai-ichi complex, shown by one of the yellow circles immediately to the left of the red X in the linked map) it was rated a 4 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale, meaning that some things might have fallen off of shelves but there would have been no major damage.

2. Time is of the essence in shutting down our own nuclear reactors -- 103 across US -- !!
May make the difference between "a whimper or a bang" -- !!

Something to be taken seriously -- the German people get it -- the French get it --

Let's move here on shutting down nuclear plants!

Btw, for thos who don't know this, Global Warming is bringing increasing earthquake

activity due to melting of the glaciers which shifts pressures on tectonic plates.

Not only more earthquakes, but more severe earthquakes.

We are now also entering the period of time when we begin to feel the effects of human

activity AFTER 1960 --imagine all we did after that period!

There was a 50 year delay in our actually FEELING the effects --

Global Warming will be accelerting ever faster now --

The chaotic weather we have already been experiencing -- the changes in weather systems,

ocean systems -- floods/droughts, storms, hurricanes, cyclones, tornadoes -- will all be

increasing in number and severity.
