5 Sets of Remains Believed to Be American MIAs Go Home - Vietnam
http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGADO93N6TD.html

HANOI, Vietnam (AP) - Five sets of remains believed to be those of American soldiers who went missing during the Vietnam War were sent home Sunday nearly 30 years after the war ended.
The remains were loaded onto a C-17 transport plane in central Danang, from where they were to be flown to an Air Force laboratory in Honolulu for identification.

The remains were located in central and southern Vietnam by a joint recovery team that searches for soldiers missing in action, said Lt. Col. Ty Smith, commander of the U.S. MIA office in Hanoi. sinp

Some 1,800 American soldiers remain unaccounted for in the Vietnam War, which ended in 1975.

1. It's pathetic
The U.S pressures the Vietnamese government to spend time and energy tracking down the bones of a few Americans while hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese victims of the U.S.A are probably unaccounted for.

3. Are they usually successful in identifying the remains?
I don't know much about this ongoing program but I think it would be a blessing for the families to finally lay their loved ones to rest physically and emotionally.

Blessings to them and their families.
