Pawlenty's super-rich tax cuts
Source: CNN Money

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Hey rich folks, Tim Pawlenty wants to cut your taxes. A lot.

Under the terms of his recently revealed economic plan, Americans in the top 20% of earners would see their taxes cut by an average of $23,500, an 8.6 percentage point drop in their tax rate, according to an analysis by the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center.

And the top 1% would get an annual average reduction of $261,000, a 14.8 percentage point drop.

Meanwhile, Americans in the lowest 20% of income would see their taxes drop by an average of only $23, a 0.2 percentage point change in their tax rate.

The outrageous thing is that some actually view this as a key to securing the Republican nomination! We are going to give EVEN BIGGER TAX CUTS TO THE RICH AND PAY FOR THEM WITH CUTS TO MEDICARE! Yet, rather than inspiring outrage, most of mainstream America is going to give Pawlewnty a free pass. Heck, he may even gain votes.

Yet, Democrats who merely engage with House Republicans in order to raise the debt ceiling, and it must be raised, are viciously attacked from both the left and the right. The fact of the matter is that America has been brainwashed to give Republicans a free pass, and blame Democrats. This is the bipartisan message that we have all been trained to embraced by the corporate media.

1. If repukes win in 2012, kiss this country good-bye.
I don't know how bad it's going to have to get before stupid Americans wake up, but that just might do it.

2. Good to see the Republicans continue to stand tall for this oppressing minority. . .
Imagine the pain were these browbeating wealthy abusers forced to live without continuous tax reductions.

Oh the horror, the horror.
