2 deaths as storms wallop state Tens of thousands without power; 3 schools damaged (AR)
Source: Arkansas Democrat Gazette

10 p.m. -Another severe weather system wreaked havoc in Arkansas on Monday, including deadly flash floods, and multiple storms packing high winds and possible tornadoes. Power was knocked out to nearly 100,000 customers.

Most of the state was under a flash food warning as the storm marched its way east toward Tennessee.

A West Fork woman died earlier Monday when she got out of her van, which was being swept away in Washington County floods. Her 11-year-old son survived.

Another fatality was seen in hard-hit Vilonia, where there are reports of a half-mile wide swath of damage.

1. Our house got struck by lightning.
It was an amazing feeling. We have lightning rods which kept us all safe, but it turned the ceiling fan on. Also, blew out the phone lines, satellite, tv and well pump. But, we have electricity and internet. The rain has stopped for awhile, maybe until Wednesday for us.

The creeks are rushing and water is flowing and I'm tired of rolling thunder over my head. I'm looking forward to a couple days of sun.

The Earth is happy for the rain. We have been in near drought for a least a year. It's terrible that people are being so badly affected, but God must be angry at them for something  (that was a joke)

2. So many people suffering for weeks now with this terrible weather.
Thoughts and prayers go with them. We've had our share of this in NC and it's been even worse across the midwest...week after week, with more to come. :-(

3. Clearly this has nothing to do with human-caused climate change...
It's all because the heathens of Arkansas welcome an unholy, gay-loving, liberal agenda that offends Gawd.... I'm surprised Pat Robertson hasn't explained this to us yet....

Spring this year. Still rumbling thunder & lightening now as we speak.

6. This is perfectly normal, of course....
Nothing to do with the massive amounts of energy we keep putting into the biosphere... nothing at all.

Right?

7. Oddly, the exact same thing is happening in Rio right now.
I couldn't get home from work today. I stayed overnight at the office, along with a dozen or so coworkers. And there's not even any cheap hotel nearby we could sleep at.

a lot of Tornadoes in the news lately.. Does it seem like there have been more this year than for a normal year? (What ever is normal, if there is even such a thing.)

...because a friend that lived there mentioned The Weather Channel was showing folks in raised up 4x4's joy-riding through the flooded streets.

Big black clouds that suck your roof off in the middle of the night - - you tend to remember these things when you see them.

I'll take hurricanes anyday.

20. If Americans are ever going to react to destruction of the planet by capitalists ...
the time is now -- !!!

While many understand the complications of Global Warming --

that it is bringing chaotic weather -- increasingly so -- more storms, hurricanes,

tornadoes, cyclones -- and with increasing intensity --

it is also bringing increased earthquake activity -- and increasingly severe earthquakes.

In turn, earthquakes also create volcanic activity ----

But many Americans are still sitting in front of their TVs quite confident that if anything

were truly wrong, the news reader would let them know!!

Here in NJ we have temperatures in the 80's in April!

Quite aways back -- maybe 10+ years ago or more -- the Weather Channel reporter actually

confirmed that we have temperatures 25 degrees above normal.

As long as the glaciers are still melting, a scientist has described it as having our

freezer door open -- afterwards, where will our temperatures be?

The time to react to this is now --

The people responsible for this insanity are raking in every buck they can by any means

they can -- and still pumping out anti-Global Warming propaganda to confuse the public --

and have no intention of ever being held accountable for this devastation.

They've moved their "hirelings" into place in government -- and in our courts.

We have government by gangsters -- thugs.

Please -- wake up, America!!
