4. The headline is misleading
As someone who has actively disliked Kasich for 20+ years since he was my Congressman, I have to admit this headline is misleading. The flash mod is really anti-Bob Evans. The HQ is staying in Ohio after the company toyed with moving out of state, so it will probably be considered a "win" for Kasich. Basically, Bob Evans used the tax incentives that Columbus offered to get a better offer from New Albany. The move will definitely be a blow to the south side of Columbus which is already economically depressed. New Albany which is about 20 mi. to the northeast is a far more affluent area. In theory, the current workers are not necessarily going to lose their jobs. In reality, there is no viable public transportation to New Albany. It was a sad day for Columbus because the city was used as a pawn for a large company.

5. You hit the nail on the head
Bob Evans has never been one of my favorite restaurants but I will not be eating there in the future. I do not believe they ever intended to move their HQ to Texas. This was just a feint to get big money from state and local governments to move to a poshier location for their headquarters. Your point about the lack of public transportation to New Albany is the first thing I thought of when the news of the move came out. I see this as just the beginning of Kasich's plan to "create" jobs when in fact he will just be moving state money to his business cronies.

6. I didn't realize that Bob Evans had threatened to move to Texass
I had a good impression of the restaurant chain. They had sponsored the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure for many years. I got a cool Bob Evans bike bottle.
