Iraqis say U.S. bid to pacify Falluja doomed
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/L02616486.htm

FALLUJA, Iraq, April 2 (Reuters) - Peering down the road to the anti-American flashpoint of Falluja, nervous Iraqi security forces said on Friday there was only one way for U.S. troops to pacify the town -- stay away.

"The Americans should think before they act. If they enter Falluja and use force it will only be met with force and this will happen over and over," said Lieutenant Mohammad Tarik.

"This is Falluja. Everyone is angry with the occupation and there are many tribes, which means there will be revenge. The Americans should just keep out."

The spotlight has been on Falluja since residents burned and mutilated the bodies of four U.S. contractors killed in an ambush on Wednesday. The U.S. army has promised an overwhelming response, but has not specified what that response will be.

1. Here's the Falluja "problem," neatly summarized. . .
From the end of the article:

"The harder the Americans push us, the harder we will push (back). It will lead to an explosion in Falluja," said Mohammad Abdel Naby, a teacher.

"Anytime guerrillas attack them they attack civilian areas and (then) they want us to keep quiet?"

3. It is working exactly as planned,
The more outraged we become, the more vicious our response, the harder we hit them back, the easier it is for the fanatics to recruit new fanatics. OBL is laughing his A## off.

4. Exactly
Which is why the war in Iraq was a stupid grandstanding stunt in the first place. Anyone remember Charles Manson? His objective was to start a race war through horror. He failed.

Osama succeeded.

6. I can't imagine why these Iraquis would rebel against being colonized?
Don't they like their land being privatized and being sold to foreign businesses? Don't they like their oil being stolen?

7. Above Post= Priceless
The bigger child will be an adult one day and will put a bullet through the head of a 19 year old from Iowa. The child will grow up one day and plant a bomb that will blow a 22 year old woman Sergeant from New Jersey into dozens of large bloody chunks. Ya we will win alright</Sarcasm>

8. The Europeans will scream Lidice if large casualties are caused
No the CHIMPANZEE and his handlers have totally discounted what the average person in Europe is feeling about Iraq.

A massive bombing and killing campaign. meant as Revenge for the killing of the 4 thuggish mercenaries barbecued by the Resistance forces will be met with total outrage and derision by a large segment of the population in Europe.

The Sock-Puppet and his puppet masters will then be correctly be compared to the Nazi SS which they are increasingly striving to emulate. This will lead to "Regime Change"---ala Spain for Shrubs friends and collaborators in this clusterfuck.

Arabs in particular will be outraged and thousands more young men and women will take up the banner of Jihad, and prepare in many new and innovative ways to blast, kill and dismember their tormentors.

10. Great post saigon68
It should be required reading for all of our war criminals in Washington, but sadly most of them wouldn't understand it.

12. Exactly the response they want from US
But I am sure Bush will not understand the tactic of "provoking a response" BTW I guess we lost 2 guys yesterday but the job market is back-isn't that great? WHere was that covered-I guess our troops are just to die and don't make a big deal of it

9. Let's See
We can surround the town and bomb it to rubble killing every man woman and child.
Or we can take every 10th male inhabitant and shoot them in the town square
Or we can go home and start minding our own business for a change.

11. Idea #3 is the best choice
Unfortunately my friend your suggestion makes too much sense, and places humanity above greed.

Two (2) things, for which the Chimpanzee and his handlers have little empathy.
