Carly Fiorina concedes defeat in Senate race
Source: LA Times

After monitoring results overnight, Republican Senate candidate Carly Fiorina conceded defeat Wednesday morning after her hard-fought race with Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer, stating that she was proud of every moment of her campaign.

Speaking to reporters and a small group of supporters with her husband at her headquarters in Irvine, the former Hewlett-Packard chief executive said the experience had been a privilege and that she had been touched by every person she met across California. She said she ran because she was concerned that attaining the American dream had become too hard for too many people and that she was still worried about out-of-control spending in Washington.

"We had an exceptional campaign," Fiorina said. "In the end we could not overcome the registration that Democrats have, and in particular in L.A. County." Fiorina said she hoped her effort would lead Boxer and others in Washington to "redouble their efforts to make sure Americans have the opportunity to live the American dream." "The fight is not over, the fight is just beginning," she said. She did not take questions or discuss her plans for the future.

The two candidates battled for months over the effectiveness of the Obama administration's programs -- with Fiorina calling for the repeal of the healthcare bill and returning unused stimulus money to the treasury. Fiorina had argued Boxer had been in office too long and had lost touch with her constituents.

The winner:

11. And I therefore must offer my apologies and make a correction
Carly Fiorina is not a greedy pig and I should not have called her one.

The correct term is greedy fucking fascist pig.

Carly Fiorina, you are despicable. You are disgusting. You did not deserve the votes you got, not one of them, not even your own. You are unAmerican. You should be barred from ever holding or even running for elective office, because you are an insult to democracy.

That you, Carly Fiorina, can dare to talk about the American dream when in fact you have destroyed the dreams and LIVES of so many people astounds me. It truly does. One someone who is seriously mentally ill could believe that, and someone who doesn't believe it but says it anyway is seriously evil.

You, Carly Fiorina, may very well be both.

Shut the fuck up, you nazi cow.

2. Amen........
Her fortune was built on the backs of Americans who trained their Indian replacements to do their jobs.

She should be tarred, feathered and roasted over an open fire, not hailed as a Repukkke candidate.

6. I was shocked to learn that Fiorinas vote was cast 2 miles from me.
I didn't know she was a neighbor. I dropped my son off for a friends' Bat Mitzvah at Beth Am 2 weeks ago (he said it was a great party).
