Record-setting Bush fundraising drive nears climax
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/N31278669.htm

WASHINGTON, March 31 (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush's lavish campaign fund-raising drive neared its record-shattering climax on Wednesday at a Washington hotel where over 1,000 Bush supporters forked over $1.5 million for a salmon dinner. snip

"He's been in Washington long enough to take both sides of every issue," Bush said to guffaws from supporters, who paid $2,000 a plate to attend. "If he could find a third side, I imagine he'd take that one too."

Bush is expected to wind up a nine-month nationwide fund-raising drive next week, when he speaks to campaign donors at a Charlotte, North Carolina, event that had to be postponed from February because of a blizzard.

Analysts believe Bush has already reached or exceeded his $170 million fund-raising target for the 2004 race -- a level that would shatter the $100 million record he set during his 2000 contest against Democrat Al Gore.

1. He'll probably go through it all
by mid summer. That idiot has no clue about handling money. The deficit is proof enough of that. Plus, all the ads he's running it would be easy to get rid of it all pretty darn quick. What a slime ball.Funny how he needs all that money to convince people he should keep his job....him being a "popular" president and all.:eyes:

4. It takes a lot more money to produce propaganda than it does to...
...produce the truth.

The NeoCons will need every last penny to defend their traitorous conduct.

5. $170 million and he's in a dead heat with Kerry!?!?!?!
Practically every city he goes to for fund raising he's met with protestors.

$100 million in 2000 wasn't enough to get him elected. I guess he thinks that $70 million more will make a difference.

I don't!

Bush is an incompetent leader.

Let's not elect him in 2004 either!

11. He's not in a dead heat, he's losing
Bush has spent something like $25 million on ads in the last couple of weeks, while Kerry has raised $40 million and spent nothing. And Bush's actually losing to Kerry nationwide.

6. I sort of figured
that someone chose by God wouldn't have to raise a that much money to get elected. Can't God just wave his magic wand and make it so?

7. His funds will never run out,
This is what happens when a small percentage of people control most of a country's wealth. They have unlimited funding to promote their sock puppet 24-7.
