Newt Gingrich Accuses Sebelius of 'Soviet Tyranny'
Edited on Sat Sep-18-10 10:05 PM by IDemo
Source: ABC News

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich lashed out at Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius today at the Values Voter Summit, accusing her of "behaving exactly in the spirit of the Soviet tyranny."

What drew Gingrich's anger was a letter Sebelius sent earlier this month to a leading insurance industry group complaining that some companies were "falsely blaming premium increases" on health care reform legislation.

"When Secretary Sebelius said the other day she would punish insurance companies that told the truth about the cost of Obamacare, she was behaving exactly in the spirit of the Soviet tyranny," Gingrich said. "And if she's going to represent left-wing thought police about Obamacare, she should be forced to resign by the new Congress."

Gingrich said Republicans should defund her office if they sweep back into the majority in Congress after the November elections, as he hopes.

2. At the risk of incurring some sort of karmic blowback,
I wish with all my heart that that demented swine blows an aneurysm and fucking drops dead in the middle of one of his lunatic rants, preferably live on Fox Noise.

I hated his piggy ass when he had his little hissy fit and shut down the government in '94 and I hate it even more now.

Drop dead and fry in hell, Newt. As soon as possible.

26. The sentiment is quite understandable.
That sack of shit has made a living out of lying to the American people. He's shameless and the world would be a much better place without him. If karma is real, that soul has got a long payback to look forward to. He's very careless in that regards.

4. Defunding US Health & Human Services? Really?
Edited on Sat Sep-18-10 10:17 PM by Proud Liberal Dem
Oh boy, would I like to see them try THAT (well, I wouldn't really but if they were really dumb enough to try it, they'd better be prepared for some MAJOR blowback)! :eyes:

If the Republicans regain the majority after the November election, I wonder if we're going to have a full-blown *war* on between President Obama and Congress? Seems that if they get back into power, they're going to go after Obama with everything but the kitchen sink (and maybe even THAT too)!

13. Gingrich is one of the GOP's most able propagandists .... beware ....
Edited on Sat Sep-18-10 11:06 PM by defendandprotect
The GOP has been practicing their right wing -- actually Hitler/Nazi -- propaganda since

the Nixon White House!!

Here's a story on that ....

OK -- this is from Edward Livingstone's "High Treason I" -- probably at your library

page 417 forward -- and I'm paraphrasing --

Livingstone points to Nixon as being implicated in forging documents -- destruction of

evidence, encouraging perjury -- Rosenbergs/Alger Hiss/Watergate -- assassination plots --

and I'll add treason.

Nixon's Berlin Wall -- his "German General Staff" -- Haldemann, Ehrlichman, Krogh,

Klindienst, Kissinger ++ Many from UCLA which had "fraternities that kept alive the vision

of a New Reich." Their selection "no accident."

At the White House some of these men were -- in the wee hours of the night -- in the

basement watching great Nazi propaganda films -- and drinking. Drunk with their power

and blind ambition.

And just a closer look at the kind of people Nixon surrounded himself with ...

A reporter which one of Nixon's top assistants disliked was asked to attend a private viewing

of a movie. Journalist sat down -- and from behind someone seized him by the hair --

"his head cruelly jerked back and cracked against the back of the seat. The man's head was

held here for some time, and then he was let go. He turned to see the Presidential assistant,

who said, "Oh, I thought you were someone else."

11. No Newt, in the Soviet Union the secret police would have shut down the insurance companies
and the CEO's would have been disappeared.

Instead, the HHS Secretary sent them a sternly worded letter.

19. Why the hell do reasonably sane news outlets listen to this fool ?????
I've said some pretty degrading things about Sarah Palin in public and ABC News hasn't quoted me yet. AND I've never left congress in disgrace, forced my wife to sign divorce documents in her hospital bed, cheated on my wife, or most of the other crap Newtie's pulled, so I think I'm a more respectable source of information than he is.

29. I think Newtie's either getting really desperate (sees his time
to run for Pres. passing him by) or he's starting to get a little soft in the head (like his hero Ronnie Raygun). Either way he's both extraordinarily annoying and dangerous. Remember, he's the one "intellectual" in the current Rethuglican power structure.
