Jordan accepts 2 of Saddam's daughters, children on humanitarian grounds
<http://www3.cjad.com/content/cjad_news/article.asp?id=w073155A>

AMMAN, Jordan (AP) - Jordan has allowed two of fallen Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's daughters and their nine children into the kingdom on humanitarian grounds, Information Minister Nabil al-Sharif said Thursday.
Raghad Saddam Hussein and Rana Saddam Hussein arrived in the kingdom Thursday from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, al-Sharif told The Associated Press. Al-Sharif said Saddam's daughters were allowed to come to Jordan on King Abdullah II's orders.
"They are Arab women who have run out of all options," Al-Sharif said.
He refused to say where in Jordan the two women were. No other details were immediately available.

I’m sure someone in the WH has already made a call to the King saying something on the order of :wtf:

cheers to Jordan

5. That's right!
According to the chimp's logic, we simply cannot allow Saddam's bloodline to continue, and if we let these 11 children/grandchildren hide in Jordan... better go grab a MOAB and bomb those little bastards, quick, before they grow up and multiply!

I'm so tired of being asked to give a rat's ass about the Husseins. We have so many important things to worry about, this "Where's Waldo and/or His Relatives?" shit is driving me crazy. It's just a distraction, just a game, for the Cheetohs 'n Ding Dongs Wal-Mart shoppers.

23. First they'll have to discover it's not Michael Jordan doing it.
After all the hype about Kobe Bryant, the freeper 'mind' overflows like a clogged septic tank and makes all sorts of psychotic connections.

3. good for Jordan
the whole notion that this illegal war has now devolved into an illegal hunt for one man and his family is beyond all comprehension. Saddam is no longer a head of state, and no longer controls any military. Bringing him to "justice" is one thing, but hunting him down for immediate execution is another thing entirely. And the new US tactic of kidnapping family members is simply beyond the pale.

8. You are right. The "war" is over, and there is no reason

beyond the stupid "he trod to keel mah daddah" crap, to kill
Saddam Hussein. The fact that 2 sons were murdered for having
godawful reputations is outrageous. There are a lot of awful
people right here in the U.S., but the Rule of Law says that
there must be a Trial. You can't just kill people!Heresay
evidence is not enough to prove a crime, any crime.
International Law says the same.

4. I applaud this decision

Good for the Jordanian King! I'm sure that took a good deal of courage on his part, and can understand why he made this decision. I'm truly sad to say I wouldn't trust my own country not to throw these women and children into cages at Camp X-Ray -- if they weren't killed first in some vindictive action ordered by the Bushreich.

I only wonder what kind of "punishment" our fearless leader will now inflict upon Jordan and its people. (sigh)

their used-to-be-Iraqi oil pipeline could encounter recurring "problems", sabotage, etc.

13. "Intensive" and "Special" interrogations are often outsourced to Jordan

It is unlikely that either the ladies or the 9 children they have between them know anything that the bush regime doesn't, but the Jordanians will do as they're told unless they want to get some special "humanitarian asylum" themselves.
