Rand Paul: Rachel Maddow interview was very fair
Edited on Sat May-22-10 12:59 AM by SergeyDovlatov
Source: WHA11 Lousiville KY

Paul said one lesson learned from the MSNBC experience is "I need to be very careful about going on certain networks that seem to have a bias. Because it really wasn't the interview so much that was unfair. The interview I think was very fair. But then they went on a whole day repeating something over and over again. It makes me less inclined to go on a network."

Somehow I have a feeling that he might not get housetrained enough by his new republican handlers and will venture on to the Rachel Maddow show again for another beating session in a few weeks?

What d'ya think?

Could be just a wishful thinking on my part.
I really really want him to become a regular on a Rachel Maddow. ;-)

2. She is very fair, which is why the rest of the liar's frat club
won't go up against her. Those who once did, like Pat Buchanan, are really absent from her show anymore. They can't handle the truth and fairness.

3. I guess he'll have to stick to PBS then, or maybe local news stations.
Every major cable one has a bias. I can't watch any of them.

5. His non-answers to reasonable questions made him the news.
Sorry, Dr. Paulinstein. You're not in the primaries anymore. And those of us who watched you implode on "The Rachel Maddow Show" know exactly why it happened.

Go ahead, hide from "Meet the Press" (David Gregory is the easiest interview you'd ever get on any network besides Faux). You'll meet the press in Kentucky, and I'm not just talkin' the local media outlets.

Welcome to the real world, even though you don't like it much. Thank you, Rachel, for making the introduction. You ROCK!

6. Credit where credit is due...
...at least he acknowledged that Rachel was fair in the interview. Which is a damned sight more than most politicians would do after the drubbing he has taken.

8. IOW, "I should have gone on Fox News"
What an idiot, all news stations repeat whatever dumb statements you make. If you don't want to be a part of that then keep your stupid trap SHUT.

12. The only reason he ended up on announcing his candidacy on Maddow in the first place
is that the MSM was under orders not to do have anything to do with him--after all, he WAS a third party candidate!

14. Amazing he doesn't get any network can repeat something brief said on any other network.
Besides, if the interview allowed him to express his political positions, asa candidate, he should be delighted to have them repeated 24/7. That kind of air time is usually hard to come by.

What Paul can't face/admit: His downfall was that the position he stated is effed up beyond belief--and he cannot even see that.
