Source: Reuters (India)

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) - A 6-year-old Pakistani schoolboy was killed and five boys and two other people wounded in an explosion on Monday outside a school in the northwestern city of Peshawar, doctors said.

Police said they were trying to determine the cause of the blast near the main gate of the school which is run by a police foundation.

"One schoolboy was killed. Seven people are wounded, five of them are children," Khizer Hayat, a doctor in a government-run hospital said. "All of the injured are in stable condition."

Islamist militants have launched a string of bomb attacks in Peshawar, which is the gateway to Afghanistan, killing scores of people over recent months.

5. broadbrush attack.
take it somewhere else. this is a tragic loss of life and you should be ashamed for making such a broad attack on fellow DUers.

recs, replies, who gives a shit.

a 6 yr old child, an innocent child, has died as a result of war.
and YOU are using it to attack people here.

ridiculous.

10. i cannot believe that either of you would think this argument holds any weight.
so recs and replies are the only measurement by which importance is guaged now?

so are all anti-war DUers now the allies of the Taliban? if you're not with us you're against us?
that is what is going on here. broad brushing anti-war folks into Taliban sympathizers is asinine.

anti-war folks aren't all "obama haters". believe it or not some of us might actually just be against war, and are appalled by the loss of life as a result thereof.

12. You're taking it a bit far, and perhaps personally.

My only observation is simply that yes, DU is largely indifferent to this.

Edited to add: you are also the first one to bring Obama into the discussion.

that i can admit. i just can't believe some of the things i see on here anymore.

up is down, left is right, war is okay as long as you're on the right side, i guess.

i don't know.

11. I wonder of this is why it was targetted.
The remote-controlled bomb blast took place outside the main gate of the state-run Police Public School at the Khyber road in Peshawar, where a large number of people were present to pick up their children, police said.

* * * *

Most of the school's students are children of police personnel

punish any and all 'collaborators', until no one will associate with government or opposition forces for fear of their lives.
