Bush Hails Iraq War as Boost for Mideast Stability
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=578&e=3&u=/nm/20040319/ts_nm/iraq_dc

WASHINGTON/BAGHDAD (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) said on Friday Saddam Hussein (news - web sites)'s fall had removed a source of Middle East violence and instability, and called on other countries to show more resolve against terrorism.

On the eve of the first anniversary of the start of the Iraq (news - web sites) war, blasts echoed across Baghdad from a suspected mortar or rocket attack on the headquarters of the U.S.-led administration. The U.S. military said there were no casualties.

Bush urged other countries to stay the course in Iraq after Spain vowed to pull out troops and South Korea (news - web sites) refused to take on a combat role.

"Any sign of weakness or retreat simply validates terrorist violence and invites more violence for all nations," Bush told representatives from 83 countries at the White House.

2. yeah, yeah
I think we;ve heard this before
"stay the course'
'a thousand points of light'
'I have trouble with the vision thing'

if we recall correctly
prior to the INVASION of Iraq
there was not much instability happenin over there
except of course for the perrenial
Ireal/Palestinian conflict
which I think Bush chose to forget
because its just too complicated for his pretty little head

4. How does this man continue to say that black is white?
And why doesn't someone call him on it?

5. Does he really believe that because he "calls" on other countries to do
what he tells them to that they will? The rest of the world can barely stand him, if not despise him. They are probably laughing their heads off at his "call" as a matter of fact, I am laughing my head off at the notion that he thinks he can "call" on other countries.

Any mention of Poland or Italy or HOnduras here? I did not read the link. I am sick of reading about Bush and his willful slaughter in Iraq being passed as a wonderful world event that will benefit the entire world and bring peace, and I am sick of seeing his fat face on the photo ops. It's been there all damn day like a wart.

8. smells like desperation to me.....
does anybody else sense a desperate man? For God's Sake, the man's like a broken record. If he continues like this, with 59 speeches per day, carping on and on, people are going to start throwing up when they see him yet again.

On top of all the spinning, now we're being exposed to him in his re-election campaign.

How much more can people take? This man is going to single-handedly start a massive TV-turnoff campaign.

Flush Bush. Also, take a really close look at him recently. His eyes have a wild, desperate look about them.

9. paging Jon Stewart
The Daily Show did an absolutely devastating piece on Cheney blathering on in the same vein while a split screen showed footage of the hotel bombing a couple of days ago.

Bush's breathtaking bullshit simply cries out for similar treatment.
