US soldiers kill Iraqi couple: ministry official
Source: AFP

BAGHDAD: US soldiers opened fire on a civilian vehicle in Baghdad killing an Iraqi couple for reasons that are still under investigation, an interior ministry official said on Thursday.

The US military declined to confirm that the couple had been killed by American soldiers, however, saying only that a joint investigation had been opened by US and Iraqi authorities.

“An American convoy opened fire on a civilian car in Al-Iskaan neighbourhood yesterday (Wednesday) and killed a man and his wife,” the interior ministry official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

...

The man, Omar Abdullah, had been travelling in a white saloon car, the official said.

“Two Iraqis were killed today in the Karkh area (west Baghdad) where US and Iraqi security forces were conducting combined security operations,” a US military statement dated Wednesday said.

3. These things are being done in our names, -
- yours and mine. And regardless of how justifiable the circumstances there is no way to justify our having unlawfully invaded that country and imposed an occupation on those people. And, again, it is all being done in our names -- the killing, the kicking down of doors, the false arrests, the torturing, the rapes, the destruction of homes and property.

The Bush Administration has placed the burden of this massive crime onto us all. Not only is the economic cost of it draining our treasury, the moral cost has turned America into the most justifiably despised nation in the world. And because I am old enough to remember when our country was respected and admired by the world I am deeply saddened and severely angered by the crimes which our current President and his impotent, lethargic Justice Department is holding no one accountable for.

The fact that Obama can hold Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Powell, Tenet, Rice, et al, to account for their actions but does not makes him implicitly culpable. And the fact that the American People are doing nothing to compel their government to take action against the criminal administration that placed us in this position makes them complicit in the crime. And because we are Americans we are guilty, just as the Germans were considered guilty of the crimes perpetrated by Hitler and the Japanese were considered guilty of the crimes of Hirohito.

The allied world didn't express hatred for Hitler but for "the Germans." And we didn't hate Hirohito, we hated "the Japs." Now it's your turn and mine be hated -- thanks to our corrupt government.

5. United States is killing themselves.
.
.
.

It may be decades, generations;

but the USA is creating increased hatred for itself across the globe.

Ponder this you great USA warrior chiefs -

kill ONE child - how many enemies do you think you made?

kill ONE mother - how many enemies do you think you made?

kill ONE father - how many enemies do you think you made?

and so on . . .

The great USA war chiefs decided that they could not get their citizens to forfeit their taxes for the same war deaths that happened re Vietnam

SO

they decide to compensate by fighting from afar, to hell with the "collateral damage' -

that being killing innocent civilians in the hopes they got a bad guy or two . . .

It'll probably be decades before the backlash cometh,

BUT IT WILL COME . . .

There's a whole lot of orphans growing up who KNOW who killed their family . .

sumthing to ponder you great war enthusiasts you.

War with Iraq and Afghanistan was NOT necessary;

and the USA bases across the globe only further aggravate the World's opinion of the USA as an aggressive nation.

Take a look at the globe from above - see where all the USA's weapons are(those that we know of), as opposed to the rest of the World

WHO looks like the aggressor?

:freak:
