Palin blasts Democrats in Tea Party speechFebruary 6, 2010 10:19 p.m. EST

Nashville, Tennessee (CNN) --

<snip>

Palin sought to hold Washington accountable as she took on a number of issues, including national security, the economy, and the recent election of Republican Scott Brown to the Massachusetts Senate seat left vacant by the late Ted Kennedy. "America is ready for another revolution and you are a part of this," Palin said.

<snip>

She called on the administration to take note of the election results, saying "you better stop lecturing and start listening." ""The Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda will leave us less secure, more in debt and under the thumb of big government," she added, saying voters all over the country are sending a message that they want change in Washington. She harkened Obama's famous campaign slogan, asking, "How's that hope-y, change-y stuff working out for you?"

On national security, Palin said Americans have grown uneasy in the wake of an attempted Christmas Day terror attack aboard a U.S.-bound flight from Amsterdam, Netherlands. She called on the administration to be transparent about threats facing the country.

Much more at the link. This was broadcast by C-Span and carried by, at a minimum, MSNBC (interrupting its peachy keen weekend prison programming), CNN and FOX. (What the ? Did the networks confuse Palin's ramblings to Tea Party-ers with something important?)

Commentators from both Parties seemed unanimous: she said nothing specific, but her audience loved her.

8. In fairness, McCain acting like he'd been clubbed after the news of the economy did not help.

Even George Will (on This Week, with George Steph) said "He scared some of us."

The Republican 2008 ticket: Unfit and Unfitter.

2. NOTHING
She said nothing, nothing at all! Just her usual talking points with no substance and constant "support our troops", "Reagan," "common sense", "my son is retarded a special needs child" buzzwords.

Why anyone would follow her is beyond me.

23. She did command every ounce of attention
of the media -- including NPR. This what we will be up against and at some point soon will be necessary to close ranks or let the radical right have the country back after one year.

They are formidable and may look silly but never underestimate the Right.

I can say without hyperbole that Palin is more dangerous than Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and Satan combined. Elevens.

7. Amazing How The Corporate Media Has Turned Pro-Corporate Policies Into Populism
Less regulation, lower taxes, more war...what is old is new again, as the Freedom Works/corporate sponsored Tea Party movement re-hashes Bush's policies as populism.

11. Yeah, and every time I hear one of those tea baggers asked why they like her so much
and they answer: because she's herself; she doesn't try to be anyone else! Yeah, you betcha! She certainly can't pretend to be somebody with (best zombie impression here) braaaainnns!

12. Interesting How This Got Wider Coverage
Than last week's meeting between President Obama and the Republican leadership at their annual convention. One is a true news event and the other was a paid appearance by someone not currently in government at any level. Go figure!

16. Words cannot describe how utterly ridiculous her speech was.
She mentioned in the question period that Todd wasn't a registered Republican. Well no shit, he was registered to an Alaskan seperatists party actually. Fuckin' mention that why don't ya?

She also plainly called ALASKA a beacon for freedom in the world in the middle of her speech. Did anybody catch that? What the motherfuck? :rofl:

18. She is doing what she does best-entertaining a crowd of idiots by giving
pep rallies about nothing. She has no real agenda except making money while she is stilll famous enough to do that. The baggers are too dim to understande she charged them a large amount of money while giving them nothing at all but a quick thrill.

The media are bigger whores than she is.

20. She had notes written on her hand!
Edited on Sun Feb-07-10 08:18 AM by Lasher
Closer inspection of a photo of Sarah Palin, during a speech in which she mocked President Obama for his use of a teleprompter, reveals several notes written on her left hand. The words "Energy", "Tax" and "Lift American Spirits" are clearly visible.

"Lift spirits" is easier than actual policy.

So she changed 'budget cuts' to 'tax cuts'.

And get this from the same photo:

22. ITA with msongs
I think we better wake up and realize that these people are not going away. And there is a thread of 'evil' there . . . We can't just dismiss them as bigots without weight. They represent an element in America that is capable of anything. Sarah Palin is one ton of manure away from being another Tim McVeigh.
