U.S. Military Deaths in Iraq - 553 U.S. service members have died

As of Wednesday, March 10, 553 U.S. service members have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq (news - web sites), according to the Department of Defense (news - web sites). Of those, 379 died as a result of hostile action and 174 died of non-hostile causes, the department said.

Since May 1, when President Bush (news - web sites) declared that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, 415 U.S. soldiers have died — 264 as a result of hostile action and 151 of non-hostile causes, according to the military.

Our prayers go out out to all the families of lost loved ones in Iraq, Afganistan, 9/11, flights of 9/11. I will never forget your loves ones and I will use their spirits in my fight for truth and justice in a storm of controvesy that cloud their deaths.

The answer to your question is "no." He's waited so long to go to one, I don't know how he could do it now. I remember seeing a picture of the markers in Arlington. They say "Operation Iraqi Freedom." Everything about this is sad.

7. I remember responding to your post the other day.
I linked to the website http://pigstye.net/iraq which had listed the names of soldiers who had died in hospital outside of Iraq. The latest was Pfc Luis Moreno (19) who died at a hospital in England in January.

accidents too- like when a tank drives of a bridge into a river and the crewmen drown.
