Sarah Palin to step down formally
Source: BBC News

Former US vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin is due to formally step down as Alaska governor, 18 months before the end of her term in office.

She announced her resignation abruptly on 3 July, leading to speculation of a bid for the presidency in 2012.

She is due to hand over to Alaska's Lieutenant Governor Sean Parnell at a picnic ceremony in Fairbanks, Alaska.

"I cannot express enough there is no plan after July 26. There is absolutely no plan," Meghan Stapleton told The Associated Press news agency.

2. There never was a plan -
that was made painfully obvious by the ignorance of the "candidate," so why would there be a "plan" now?

Planning requires a measure of intelligence so for unobserved in the Palin camp..................

Good riddance.

There are people out there who actually want to serve rather than take.

9. Maybe. But they seem to recover from that quaint desire soon after becoming officeholders.
Sorry. Been around too long not to be cynical.

8. The media are to blame.
This is not a story of any importance.

What next? "Sarah Palin's first day as ex-governor" or "First week (month, quarter, year) of Palin since resigning"?

They should bury all stories about her unless she makes real news -- like eating one of her babies on live TV.

10. Exactly. GMA this morning had a hugh!11 heart-warming story on Palin
Edited on Mon Jul-27-09 08:56 AM by nc4bo
complete with word salad vomit clips from her "farewell Alaska" tours.

What pissed me off was there was absolutely NO mention of the latest, greatest ethics complaints against Palin because the funds from her PAC were being used to pay for her legal defense and how THAT may have influenced her decision to quit.

Not One Word.

The M$M whores didn't feel it newsworthy that there was another ethics complaint against The Queen of Ethics Complaints. Nor did they feel it important to report on ANY of Palin's long history of shady behavior while she was in any public office in Alaska.

In other words, tell a complete and fact based news story exposing the sack of lying crap for what she really is.

That story was quickly followed by a very in depth, no-log-left-unturned, faux "outrage" story on the Prof. Gates VS the MAPD vs Pres. Obama-gate.

:wtf:

Disgusting.

11. Now that she's gone...
... can we have her arrested for her role in attempting to steal the election from Obama?
